Bonjour, hello! Hola!

Ana [she/ella/her] is a Venezuelan-Canadian illustrator whose road to making picture books was not linear. It included many fun places and creative stints, like working as an English tutor for preschoolers in her native Caracas, a fancy wedding cake maker in Manhattan, and a graphic designer in Mexico City.

She now lives in Toronto with her husband, small daughter, and a Boston Terrier named Moe. Ana enjoys reading, baking, nerding out at pub trivia, and writing about herself in the third person.
